Two years of blogging!

That’s right, its been 2 years and I am not bored yet! I have started this blog on 4th, April, 2015, with zero expectations. Probably this is one of the very few things I did consistently for so long. Two years!! When I look back, I can’t tell about you, but I have become more “informatic”. I got to know a lot about blogging. I have started a self hosted blog 6 months ago, DAMN!! There was actually a lot to know before and after creating a self hosted blog.

Very recently, on 26th march 2017, I got the approval of Google AdSense!! And there is a big back story for it, to understand that just compare this WP hosted blog (https://informaticcoolstuff.wordpress.com/) and the self-hosted blog (http://informaticcoolstuff.in/).

Exactly a year ago, I wrote an article to celebrate one year of blogging, here’s the link to it One year of blogging., also an article, when I have reached my 100 articles count (!00th article with 100 fellow bloggers.) and an article on getting 50 wordpress followers on my blog (50 followers on wordpress.), right now I have 341 wordpress followers on this blog and 118 followers on self-hosted blog… That’s quite a long and fun journey. When i read those previously mentioned articles, I can clearly see what I have been doing. I mean, one article containing all that i did till that article… Sounds great right! Like “!00th article with 100 fellow bloggers” article contains almost all the work i did untill that article.

Ok, now let me give you all my favourite posts I did after the article “One year of blogging“. Before that, let me tell you why I do this kind of post… I celebrate any special milestones on my blog with all my favourite articles at one place.

I guess you wouldn’t be able to read all of those article completely, so, let me thank all the readers for reading my articles and for all their constant support. All the bloggers in this, so called “blogospehere” are amazing and inspiring.

Here’s are those article, ENJOY reading…

BLOGGER RECOGNITION AWARD

Thank you so much Sahana from “Jazz lily” for nominating me for this Blogger Recognition award. She is a very talented writer. And her blog is really good. Go ahead and check out her blog.   Jazz lily

Here are the rules for this award…

Rules:

(1) write a post to show your Award

(2) Acknowledge the Blogger that nominated you

(3) Give a brief story about how you get started blogging

(4) Give two pieces of Advice for new bloggers

(5)  Nominate the deserving 15 bloggers

So, here is how it all started. The idea of creating something like a website, which should contain all the stuff related to Science and Technology, was on my mind for so long. Before I started this blog, I don’t know where to start, I literally searched every possible source. In this search, I learnt so much about SEO(search engine optimisation) and stuff, with GREAT struggle, I actually created a free self-hosted website which shows adverticements more than my articles.

And I realised that building a self-hosted website actually need skills which comes through experience. Finally I thought of creating some blog, where I don’t need to worry about anything but content. That is how I came across WordPress.

And my blog’s Title!!

Well… I wanted my blog to be useful, whoever reads it, should be able to understand and finally I wanted it to be cool;)

Advice for new bloggers:

I am not so experienced or famous here. But I have spent more than a year here. So, here are two tips from what i have learned.

  1. Don’t write trending topics only to get readers, write what’s on your mind.
  2. Read and review other blogs…
  3. One extra suggestion for YOU!! People suggest to tag and categorize but they won’t tell how many tags are to be given.. The fact is wordpress do not put your article on to the followed tags portal( where people search and read article on wordpress) if you tags count is more than 15. The same is with the categories…

Finally here’s the tough part of any award post.. NOMINATIONS!!! I have nominated a few of my favorite blogs. Some of he blogs in this list,,, I visit them once in a while just to read the new articles if any.. Many bloggers are fed up with the awards and stopped doing award posts. No problem, do write if interested… But I am so glad for this nomination. Again, thank you so much Sahana for nominating me.

Spherical Tires!!!

Spherical tires, this may sound crazy, but they are actually awesome. Unveiled at the Geneva International Motor Show, by a company called “GOODYEAR”.

AvdRgX

These tires allows cars to move in all directions, with spherical tires, you can even slide in sideways too. Greater parking efficient, so existing parking lots can accommodate more cars without taking up any more space. But, how on this earth, they fixed the tires to the car, yet manage to make them rotate in every direction?

Well… They used magnetic levitation, rather than axles, to suspend the tires under the cars body.. Where an object is suspended above another with no other support but magnetic field.

These are 3d printed, and are smart enough to detect, whether the road is wet or dry, and functions accordingly. The coral-patterned tread also behaves like a natural sponge – responding to wet weather by softening, while stiffening in dry conditions. Here are my previous articles on 3D printing and even 4D printing 😉 (3D printing , 4D printing ).

This is extremely tough for me to nominate a few bloggers, there are so many of them whose blogs are extraordinary. Bloggers won’t write an award article, if I write ” Anyone interested can write an award post”;);) So, if I missed someone, I am really sorry.

I recently started watching that show and I really liked it, it was extremely funny. Every character is awesome, maybe I like the Joey’s character the most.
7. A memorable quote?
“Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes… the ones who see things differently — they’re not fond of rules… You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things, they imagine, they invent, they imagine, they heal, they explore, they heal, they create, they inspire… they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
This is my favourite quote by Steve Jobs… Also this is on one of the walls of my room.
8. A girl you had the biggest fight with months ago turns out of the blue and behaves like nothing happened. What do you do?
